Fall 2020 is a tough one; between the pandemic, the US election, health measures and uncertainty about the holiday season.
Rather than trying to relax or sleep on medication, try the calming power of plants. A complete natural treatment, side effects free!
Several plants that are recognized for their sedative properties can be found in many herbal teas offered by Monsieur T.
Chamomile, first of all, is familiar to insomniacs. This herbaceous plant was already used in ancient Greece to lower fever and reduce muscle aches. Even though its taste is not unanimous, we combined it with citrus fruits and a little rosemary, you can discover it in our Chamomile Zest blend.
Lavender is another popular plant among people who have difficulty sleeping. Some people use it in their bath before going to bed, as an essential oil, but it can also be consumed. Its benefits include calming the nervous system in addition to having an antispasmodic effect, which can come in handy if you're feeling tight in the back of your neck or shoulders. Familiar spots where stress often "kicks in". The Give me a break blend is combined with jasmine, which has the same virtues, in addition to improving mood.
Take note that our Yoga and Anti-strain herbal teas, the soothing properties do not come from the plants they contain, but rather from the combination of all their ingredients, which is based on Ayurveda, which we have already discussed here.
